Lahore, Pakistan

WITH CARE FOUNDATION

Why are we here?

In terms of population, Punjab is Pakistan’s largest province. Unfortunately, there are more than 9 million out of school children here. Punjab remains far behind in providing appropriate training to teaching staff, which creates a serious void in the educational system.

What are we doing?

In September 2019, we launched a pilot program using digital learning for 180 students who attend two schools in Lahore. The program started as a partnership between Secretary of the Punjab’s School Education Department (SED) & the CARE Foundation to bridge the educational gap.

What was the impact?

We are thrilled to be partnering with CARE Foundation as it is Pakistan’s largest education NGO. On its own, CARE has the potential to scale the TTWF model to reach 285,000+ students throughout Pakistan.

What’s next?

If the results of the pilot are favorable, we could scale the TTWF model to the ~53,000 public schools that are under the jurisdiction of the Punjab SED.
